The Kipper and the corpse

The Fawlty Towers episode “The Kipper and the corpse” is cut around 4 minutes into the episode on some commercial releases.

After Basil’s line “We can manage that can we dear?”, Basil turns to speak to the hotel guest from reception, the following line is cut:

Basil: “Is it your legs?“

The guest replies “I’m Sorry?”.

The reason for this is not clear.

All TV broadcasts are uncut.

2009 update

The BBC have released a new remastered DVD collection of Fawlty Towers, this new collection contains the missing scene above and is no longer cut.
